ANATOMY OF THE BANDHAS
Many yogic texts share that yoga begins at the navel. It is the center from which we derive our sense of self and from there all movement initiates. It is also an important source of vitality and health in the body. This workshop will explore the physical, emotional, and subtle realms of the navel, which will include practicing uddiyana bandha, kundalini kriya, breath work, asana and meditation.
In this 2 hour workshop you will learn and practice each bandha (Mula Bandha, Uddyjana, and Jalandhara Bandha). You will also learn how to apply bandhas in asana to create a more patient and supported practice.
ANATOMY OF THE WARRIORS
Have you ever asked yourself, “Am I doing this pose correctly”?
This workshop will help you master the nuances of the warrior poses so you can enjoy the maximum benefits.
ANATOMY OF THE FASCIA
This relaxing and restorative workshop will teach you the importance of maintaining a healthy and perceptive connection to the health of your facia.
Self-myofascial release helps to undo stiffness that restricts your movement or causes pain; and it may "wake up" proprioceptive nerve endings to improve your somatic map (body sense) and encourage activation of your parasympathetic nervous system (rest and restore) for overall wellbeing.
ANATOMY OF THE BREATHE
Anatomy of the breath will explore how and why we breathe. Susannah will guide you through an experiential exploration of a few select yogic style breathing techniques, or pranayama, and a practice that will awaken your pelvic floor and psoas muscle.
ANATOMY OF THE CORE
This workshop explains and demonstrates the importance of the core, including pelvic floor muscles and the psoas. Susannah will teach you an overview of the muscular system of the “core”, and through precise techniques you will experience the movement of these muscles.
NEW YEAR’S DAY 2026
Join Susannah on the first day of 2026. This New Year's class will be filled with meditation, pranayama, and poses that encourage the breakdown of stagnation while reinvigorating possibility. As we fold forward and bend backwards, as we contract and lengthen, we ride the waves of life without resistance towards a calm centered intention. This slower paced flow class will provide space for reflection.
